There are several informal parking areas the best spot is on Winding Shott (see map below) if you fancy a short walk, or for a longer hike you can park in one of the villages and create a circular walk going between the villages. This walk / cycle route has something for everyone great views of St Albans cathedral, a spot of retail therapy at the Galleria shopping centre and lots of history at Hatfield House. It also then visits the All Saints church before descending back to Dane End. Another great route linking two Hertfordshire towns, the Alban Way runs from St Albans to Hatfield.
